There seems to be some really cheap printers on ebay (some dodgily cheap), can anyone recommend a good printer around the £150 mark, i'm not worried about make but i'm currently using a good 4 cartridge Epson 3 in 1.

Have a look for Canon Outlet on ebay. They sell off factory refurb printers for silly money. They come with 12 month warranty but not much else. They may have half empty carts in but for the money they go for it's worth a look,
 
Thanks Chris, i'm thinkng 7 cartridge but wouldn't mind a 5, my landscape photgraphy/editing needs to improve to warrant the upgrade which is in the back of my mind.
Umm im off to Cornwall in 6 weeks but here in Lincolnshire i don't get the time or landscape friendly areas to practise or improve.
 
i'll have a look out for it, i remember my first Canon inkjet printer back in the nineties it was something like a BJC4000 and cost £250, how times have changed !
 
Can def recommend the Canon iP range (think the new ones are 4700), well in your price range and I've been very pleased with mine, I upgraded from an Epson which I wasn't overly impressed with - the difference was substantial.

The other thing I've found as well is you replace the ink cartridge thats empty - when it IS empty on the Canon, the Epson used to say, empty, replace and there would still be ink in the cartridge, I had the printer looked at under warrenty to make sure there wasn't a fault. The Epson service center told me this is normal as it's something to do with the printer calculating an approx number of prints ?

Thanks Andy, great help reading that, even though i get my ink cheaply from internet-ink .co.uk, i'd want the printer to use every last drop !
