I added the raven in photoshop, shot with 2 sigma small flashes left of subject both on half power(2 = 1 but with half the recharge time).

Great shot. I like the crispness of the main subject. Big thumbs up for the mono approach too - you've got the full range from black right through to white.

Nicely shot and processed to suit. Though is there some dodging on the underside of the bird's wing? Looks a bit odd.

Subject doesn't do anything for me, I'm afraid. Seen too many gas mask + black bird photos.

A really nice angle but If I'm honest I'm not really sure what the raven adds to the image, but I do find it a little bit of a distraction

I can see the point of the raven but think maybe if it was shopped in and to the right a bit more it would make more sense .
