what to consider on memory cards/ recommendations?

will hopefully pick up a nikon d90 tomorrow and obviously will need a SD card to get started.

what's the recommendation, minimum speed etc.?

does brand matter?

Not too much to say but I made the mistake of buying a class '2' 8GB card (cheaply) for my D80 and it's far too slow, get your self a faster card, class '6, Ultra II that sort of thing.

if you're buying from a real shop, get the cheapest one that you can from somewhere other than jessops (tescos do some for about a fiver iirc...) and then order a decent size sandisk extreme 2 or 3 one from the net.
