Looking to get a wide angle lens for my Nikon D3200, just for general landscape photos and what ever else takes my fancy really. Anyone suggest any, I don't have very deep pockets either.

There are plenty to choose from, but if you want AF you will need to make sure they have an AF motor - both of the nikon ones do but they can be pricey even used! (nikon 10-24 and nikon 12-24 f4) I thought my nikn 12-24 was excellent. The newer tokinas have af motors but will be scarce used and I believe the Sigma's also have af motors and many seem to like them (I didn't but each to their own) I loved the tokina 11-16 though - that was very nice!

I love mine! :D

But maybe a bit short for a dedicated landscape lens?
tbh I'm nat a fan of the phrase "landscape lens" as just about any lens can be used for landscapes - I've certainly used lens that range from 12mm to 200mm on crop cameras for landscapes. When I had my D7000 I probably used the 17-55 most for 'scapes.

The OP asked about wide angle lenses so I guess I got carried away

I have a Sigma 10 - 20. Pretty happy with it. It's a little soft round the edges at it's widest although I gather a lot of wide lenses are like this?
Good quality images however and spot on for what I wanted. I think if you have the dosh though then go for the Nikon but I don't think you would be disappointed with the Sigma.
