Giving me a complex here guys! not one comment ,I know its not brill but I was thrilled with it. I was actually taking a photo from a bridge and noticed him in the distance. Having clambered through the brush this was as close as I cold get.

Pip, I think that you're post may have just been missed. By posting the second comment, the thread ceases to appear on the unreplied to list.
Is the first one is a huge crop ? It's a good capture , but I think the distance has lost you a little detail, not a lot you can do about that though. In the others the Heron looks sharper and more detailed if smaller. Keep at it

They are difficult to get near away from reserves and stuff, the first image on the second post is the best for me,could do with brightening up a bit though?.......JMO.

Keep at it and enjoy doing it..........
