What do I do, where do I go, what shall I upload?

My first tip would be to get yourself a free flickr account at www.flickr.com from there you can upload and share your photos easily

So are you saying I can't upload direct and have to go through Flickr?

You can if you upload your photos to your personal members gallery first but most people here use flickr or a similar website! (its easy really!)
