whats the main usage for this lens?

never used it but i would imagine give the wide range in focal lenth, it would be a walk about lens for taking shots of just about anything. HTH :)
 
well i used it the other day
and when i taking some pic's
on my d100
i press the button and nothing happened
there was no warning for hi or low

any ideas?

I think that you need to say more about the problem.

What mode, what exposure metering, did it focus? could you change aperture from the camera?

i tried it in all modes

ap / shutter / programme

i just pressed the shutter button and had to press it 3-5 time before it would kick in and take a pic

and there was no ap / shutter to high or low flashing on the screen?

hi sounds like you,ve got some settings wrong on you,re camera have you got other lenses or is this the only one:shrug:
 
only this one, it was on a model / catwalk in a large tent
as if the lens was too slow??

worked fine every time out doors
:-(
 
I used to have the canon fitment of this lens and its not too bad as an allrounder, its never going to be the sharpest as it has a huge focal range, its autofocus is ok in good light, but when its a bit darker, it can sometimes stuggle
