Whats this bird in my garden?

I am a complete and utter know nuffink about birds.. When I look in my garden everything that moves is grey, brown or black and hardly inspires me to photograph... But saw this from bedroom window.. splash of yellow.. grabbed camera and snap! so not the greatest of pics... but wondering what it is..

Start hanging those bird feeders out to attract more birds, and for these particular beauties ask for niger seed (thistle seed) they love it!.

Fairly common - although we used to have some but haven't seen them for a long time.

Not really but at certain times in the year they can arrive in your garden in small flocks.

Nice colours. Would have made a good shot if it was a bit sharper.
