Yes
Like the other thread in here, I'm planning a photography trip to london soon and I'd like to get some twilight panoramas. I'm looking for a suitable location, so I can plan in advance.

Whilst searching on Flickr, I found this. Where do you think it was shot from?

I'm inclined to agree. In the first picture, the church spire in the foreground to the left is St Mary Le Bow, which is where it would be if you were at St Paul's, facing east.

Didn't I read on here that there was a viewing platform of some sort at St Pauls?

Yes, The Golden Gallery. It's closing on the 7th Jan for a few months though!

St Paul's is one of the few places you can get a good high level view of the City of London, but unfortunately, as has been pointed out, the Golden Gallery is closed until March 28th.

Your alternatives, for the time being, are the Shard viewing gallery (£20 admission) or the top of the Monument (a mere £3 admission, but nowhere near as high).
In future I believe there will be a public viewing gallery on the "Walkie Talkie" building (20 Fenchurch Street) but that's some way in the future.
