Which camera case ?

Howdy :)

Looking to get a hard camera case for my equipment, it would need to be big enough to take 2 bodies, 3 prime lens 50mm, 60mm, 28mm. plus 17/40L & have enough room left for a 70-200L (in the future) I have been hankering over :lol:

Suggestions please would be grrreat

Sorry all i can say is after years,of buying cases & bags.

Is that you will end up with half dozen,of the things,with none of them feeling like the bag/case you really want,and it will start to drive you :nuts:

I thought this might be the case ! Wanted to hit up the members to try & avoid this if possible :woot:

2 cameras 2 bags already... I miss my coolpics :schtum:

Been having a mooch about, anybody got one of these Vanguard Supreme hard case 40f ? Thoughts ?

A bit more than I wanted to spent at 109 but warehouse express has a special at the mo £30 off so £79 bit of a bargain :)
 
I've lost count of the number of bags and cases I've had. There's some really excellent stuff out there but believe me the single perfect case just doesn't exist!

If you're convinced you want a hard case have a look at both Peli and Storm cases. They're very similar, I've had both. There's minor differences but both are superb and come in all sorts of sizes. I've got a LINK for a firm in Manchester that does the Storm cases (made by Hardigg in the USA) it should be pretty easy to find a link for Peli, but I think this firm may sell those too.

If you do go for a hard case I'd suggest going for the inserts rather than the foam interior. Yes it will cost more, but it's more versatile, and you don't get bits of foam dust all over your kit. It takes a while before you notice this but it always happens!

Thanks for the link & advice, didn't think about the foam dusting that would drive me nuts, will look for an insert one I think now

Thank god, I thought it was just me!

I currently have a couple of Domke's (F-2 and F-5XC). A Crumpler (Messenger Boy 6000), and a Lowepro (Toploader 65AW). All of them are useful depending on how light or heavy I am travelling.

I would also add that I have bought and sold numerous Lowerpro and Crumplers to get to where I am now and I can't say that I wouldn't buy a different bag if I spotted one that caught my eye.

And to think I often berate my wife for buying loads of handbags.....
 
No your not alone,I think i have got about 6,an old Billingham a Think Tank,Kata,Crumpler a Tarmac,plus a Lowepro belt system :lol:
 
Oh I've seen a few instances of it Neil. That's why I suggested the inserts would be better.

No matter, it's a personal choice of course :)

Sorry but unless they changed it before I got mine it's not dusty foam .Never had any issues with dirty lenses or bodies after being in the case.
