I'm confused!!!

Almost decided on the Fuji F200 exr, but now keep finding alternatives!!!

I am looking at the Lumix FX60, and now the Canon S100.

Criteria are:

- small and pocketable
- Best possible IQ
- Sensible zoom, prefer wider angle to mega long zoom, I have my DSLRs for big lenses!

Are there any major differences in the above 3, or is there (yet another!) alternative?

Well, I just read that and I would go for the G11 :D

Look at that High ISO performance!?

The G11 is good, I bought one a little while back for a reasonable alternative to carrying DSLR's around for family outings etc

How do you find the zoom etc? I have a TZ7 and I love the zoom range and performance, and is the G11 due to be replaced any time soon??

The zoom seems fine for what I want it for - its 24-120, which suits pretty much anything except long lens stuff.

I don't know what the replacement cycle is at that level of the market, but the G11 only was launched 6 months ago, so probably not just yet.

Don't get me wrong though, its not a patch on a SLR, but its perfect for getting nice quality shots when I am out and about on a day when photography is not the priority and the reason for being there is something else.... which is completely the opposite when I go shoot :D

mmm thanks guys. The Canon, though good, and has a viewfinder (good for us reading glasses wearers!) is £400 against the Fuji at just £150. The fuji is also more pocketable. Guess I'll have to think long and hard about what I want it for, strikes me the G11 is almost as big as my D60 with 18 -55 lens, so I might just as well leave the D90 at home and take that.........

Big? The G11 is about the same size as a packet of smokes when its turned off (the camera, not the smokes - they aren't electric :D)

I feel another visit to Park cameras coming on to have another try of the G11. Still not sure about the £400 price tag though.
