Which filter on which lens?

Hello,

I'm primarily interested in landscape and night-time photography - the latter a combination of the night sky (moon, star trails) and street scenery (traffic trails, etc).

I'm starting to build my kit and I have three lenses - a mid-range zoom (Tamron 28-75mm f2.8), a prime (Nikkor 35mm f1.4) and a wide angle (Nikkor 10-24mm).

Assuming that I need a polarising filter for the landscapes , would it be a better idea to get a filter for the wide angle or the zoom? They have different filter sizes, hence the question.

Also is a UV filter required at all? I bought one initially as protection for my Tamron, but now wonder if it's redundant since I use the hood.

Landscape you will need ND Grads soft or hard your choice. Invest in good filters and holder LEE is the best but does come at a price. Then get different adapter rings for the lenses
