which lens would you prefer

as a general walkabout type lens, which would you prefer between a canon 28-135 IS USM and a sigma 24-70 f2.8....

The Sigma, since i use a crop body, i'd need the slightly wider end and the smaller DoF.

Based on specs I'd rather have the Sigma as it's faster.. that said I'm not a huge fan of Sigma glass so in the real world would probably go for the Canon.
