theres tamron 60mm f2 aswell
think about what lenses you got already, and what length would fit well for non macro work you do aswell.

The 60mm f2 sp tamron is awsome and makes a bad ass portrait lens also. Ok now amaxing for lookin at an ants balls but great for normal macro shots

Maybe if ever get a ff
I don't know... found it to be very great on the D300s

Now on the D800, I almost regret selling the 1.4TC...

As I said at the start, what lens is best depends on your needs, and you haven't told us anything at all yet...

Sigma 105.... (latest version now around £380)... You won't find better for twice the price !!!! :D

Yes narrowed down to the sigma 105 or tamron 90mm, it's always more difficult when you've narrowed it down to just 2 lol

if shooting bugs the extra 15mm on the siggy will allow you to be just a bit further away, less chance of spooking them hth mike.

Yes Mr Bill, also excellent for Portraits .......
