Which nikon 85mm?

I'm in the process of moving house and need to free up some extra cash.

I've been looking at my camera gear and i'm wondering whether to downgrade some of my gear to free up extra funds.

I currently have a Nikon 85mm 1.4G which is a beauty of a lens and I love eveything about it but lately i've been reading reviews of the Nikon 85mm 1.8G and it seems that its a very good lens for less than half the cost of the 1.4

Do you think i'd miss my 1.4G if I sold it and went to the 1.8G?

Can you realistically expect to get what you've paid for 1.4? I guess not. After you pay the full price for 1.8 it will be a nice money wasting exercise I'm afraid.

If you were buying from scratch, then yes, maybe 1.8G is enough, unless you want the extra to differentiate it from 70-200mm f/2.8
