Which Nikon - so many DSLR's ?

Hi all,

Quick couple of questions if you don't mind.

Looking for a Semi-Pro Nikon DSLR with all the functionality of the old Nikon F3 / F4s if you remember them 20 years ago !. I'm looking for a camera with a PC socket to connect my Metz flashgun.

1.Do you know of a link with Nikon Model Comparison chart so I can look at the features side by side ?

2. Which Nikon DSLR is considered to be the best semi-pro ?

pc sync starts on the d300 and up

all other models need a AS-15 which sits in the hotshoe to be able to use sync cables..

I believe dpreview.com have a database of cameras you can compare side by side.

As for Nikon cameras with a PC in, your only choices are the D300s, D700 or D3 series.

Nick, are you constrained by budget? I ask only because if you are, there are used options available in the D300/700/3 (plus the odd D3s/x), but there is also the D2x/xs to consider and the D200 if you want pro-spec features but at a rock-bottom price.
