Racing has just started again this year. Here is a couple of shots from my local track.

Um, well, they are out of focus and have motion blur.

Agreed they are very soft images ( out of focus)- Up the shutter speed to at least 1/1600th sec and as for aperture I would say f8 at least for this type of shot ISO on auto will also help

Not a dog I know - however this chap entered this bend in excess of 70 mph and using a fast shutter speed I managed to freeze the motion and get him and his bike in focus

1/2000th sec ISO on Auto @ f8

and this Dragonfly @ 1/3200th sec ISO auto @f8

Both were shot at f6.3, auto iso, 1/2000 s.

Only a guess but were they shot using a Sigma/Tamron 150(ish)- 600 at the long end, wide open?
