Whipsnade Zoo 30th June

Highlights from my Whipsnade Zoo trip yesterday, my first trip to the zoo in ages, really enjoyed snapping a few pictures. The lions were fast asleep as were the rhino but the cheetah's more than made up for it

Great set - and I'm very jealous that you saw the wolverine up and about. She is always hiding in a tree when I go. Did the lynx show his face?

No Lynx, hiding out of the heat I expect, I got lucky with the Wolverines, the Zoo keeper turned up just as we were walking back from the Penguins at about 3:45ish and he chucked food out for the bears at the same time. I was lucky with the Cheetah and the Tiger as a few minutes after I arrived at each they were sat down falling asleep. No joy with the Lions or the Rhino, they were proper lazy all day.

Ah well - that's what I love about zoo visits - they are always different. I really like the cheetah shot in your second post, the long grass / pose / light... all good
