Wow, excellent set Les and number 2 really stands, beautiful. I'd love to have spent more time photographing that girl and her friends.

Well if I am honest I love no2 . Its the only one that jumps out at me..

That last one is SUPERB Les - the high key suits the subject model perfectly.

Hope you had an awesome time.

Been waiting for your Les. #2 is excellent as a B&W, the ladies in the last two were very good at eye contact I must have a dozen shots of #6.

No 2 for me.

Good seeing you again there Les!!

Great set Les. Agree with the majority that No. 2 is exceptional but I love the processing in No. 6.

Number #2 is clearly the winner for me here and on a par with the shot of the girl in the window from one of your earlier excursions. I just love the whole atmosphere in both of these two and it really romanticises the whole Gothic thing for me. Stunning!

Just one thing... Have you done some skin smoothing on her?

I like the shots and like the subject matter - what I don't get from these is the sense of it being a meeting/gathering - these, very good though they are, could be a series of set-up studio shots with models...

And I think that's part of the problem with in-yer-face phots, you mentioned in another thread...
We're looking at these guys as if they're models to be manipulated for 'our' purposes rather than just documenting a gathering of like-minded individuals...

I think this is more than fair critique, I occasionally mention in commenting that sometimes a series of images needs some kind of context or reference points so the bigger picture can be seen and understood. So I've been hoisted by my own petard so to speak, as this series is lacking that necessary key.

So thanks for that. (y)

Perhaps an image like this would have provided a better understanding of the event, and should have been included in the series?

That works for me - context is everything - gutted that they're not all making eye-contact with you though...
