Critique Whitby Prominade - The issue of prespective

Agree, but only because of the pier extensions messing up the lines.
The first one is stronger otherwise, due to the enhanced presence of the lampost.

I would also agree, however the image isn't really working for me. It might be worth trying further up the pier where it switches to the wooden section, the wooden planks would have made for more interest than the concrete? The lower perspective would likely be the best choice there?
 
I prefer the first where the low angle makes for a more imposing feature of the lamp post.

you look to wards the top of handrails it need to be rotated quite a lot both leaning over to the right lamppost and lighthouse
ouch just fell off my chair :)

Sorry for the lateness of the reply, since the app is down its hard for me to reply to threads as am away a lot. Thanks all for commenting. I'll come back here and try and compose better and make more of the lamppost
 
2nd for me, the railings are not masking part of the interest, unlike in the 1st :)
