Wide Angle lens for D3100

Does any of the D3100 owners use any wide angled lenses?

Ive got £500 burning a hole in my pocket and before I part with it, Id like to get a good idea which of the lenses works best on that body.

I have a 11-16mm F2.8 for my D7000 which is a crop sensor body like yours and absolutely would not part with it, I think it was not far off the £500 mark new so give or take a couple of quid I don't think you could go wrong.

Sigma 10-20, the 11-16 won't autofocus on a D3100...

I'm also looking into wide angle for the D5000. How does the sigma 10-20 compare to the sigma 12-24?

And i'm looking for a wide angle for a D5100. Think its going to be a sigma 10-20. Want it before i go to Kenya in 2 weeks and New York in march
