I have 2800mAh rechargeable batteries in our controllers, and was wondering if anybody knew roughly how much usage they should provide

Really depends on usage but general life expectancy for batteries is 30-60 hours.

Not much help I know but as I said, depends on what they are being used for and on what games etc.

Depends on the specific battery. I've looked into rechargable batteries and a big factor in how long they last is their ability to hold a charge. 99% of all rechargable batteries start loosing charge the moment they complete the charging cycle - for instance if you charge up batteries, then go to use them a couple of weeks later, most will be completely flat again. Some are so bad they loose all of the charge in a day, and they get worse the more charges they have.

I bought a similar setup- totally useless, the batteries hold hardly any charge. Also, if you have a cover/grip- then you have to remove this before you can charge them. Great idea in theory- not good in real life. I prefer to use re-chargables.
