Some hand held shots. Having seen what other members can do I'm reluctant to display my efforts - but I have to learn somehow. Your comments & advice welcome.

Both quite good Looks like you had some bad light as first shot says 1/100 sec and second is 1/50 sec...Still nice though

Thanks for comments. Photos were taken some months apart - but I was probably just experimenting with apertures (using aperture priority).

Ewan: I've just checked out your own photos, which in my humble opinion are great. You commented in one case that your photo is spoilt by the washing line. While I don't think it is, would it not be a simple matter to remove the line using the clone tool?

I've tried to remove it from the pic - but there's a patterned brick wall behind it and I just couldn't be bothered really Even if I had the photoshop skills to do it it would probably take me a couple of hours.

Also I'm reluctant to remove big things like that from images - maybe if the shot was gonna be superb without the line in I'd take the time to do it, but it's not that great anyway :shrug:
