wireless flash on sony question

No. Only the f58am and I think the f43am can be used as a controller although maybe some of the 3rd party ones from nissin/metz might be able to. Not sure if they fire or not since I have neither.
 
that's what it says or you could get a 43AM which works as a controller (according to the table) to trigger the 5600HS(D).

you know that you could put some exposed film over the popup flash & that will trigger an off-camera flash without the popup affecting the lighting?
