I'll just say how much I like your shot Bill, I can't resist plant portraits. On a walkabout in a small local town last week I came across a 'Wistaria House' spelt with an 'a' and there was a little notice about the name and Dr Wistar.

A specimen in my town has grown around a lamppost and over many years has formed itself into a small 'tree', the 'trunk' appearing plaited.

Correct pruning is key I believe!

Thanks Tim, much appreciated

we started the garden out here in France about 25 years ago and now we have a few that have "self seeded" amongst other trees
