Wood duck in the UK ?

Grabbed on a walk this morning, according to what I can find on the net, it is an escape from some where. As it should be in north America.

It is highly likely an escape unfortunately.Cracking shot mind you.

They have some at WWT Slimbridge and Arundel, as you say an escapee. Cracking shot

There are a few in Regents Park, makes getting a good shot very easy Not that yours isn't nice!

plenty around along with mandarins all escaped or release unlawfully

We have one (or maybe two) in our local forest as well . I posted some pics here a couple of years back.

Our one looks even angrier than yours - must be the red eyes that make them look so evil .

Lovely to see such a clear photo though - well done !
