Hi I went with John and his dad to Mere Sands Wood Rufford Lancashire, and I managed 2 mins with a kingfisher, didnt have a beanbag or tripod, so I used my coat as a rest, bit soft but best Ive ever had, also quite large crops

I definitely think resting your camera and lens in some way is the way to go for you Dave. These are the best quality I've seen from you. Yes they are still a little OOF, but a bit of practise and you will be well away.

Thanks DP I am already went back to Mere sands today saw a few but none came near

Ive been after one for ages I built a hide at birkacre yarrow valley, last year, near where one usually sits but he aint been back this year, he will be in winter though, as thats when hes normally about, I have seen it flying about on the lodge, but think hes off nesting somewhere

It wasnt near its nest, and yes I do know about the licence being required,
 
Fantastic set Dave and I actually quite like the soft focus look of #1....adds something to the shot for me (y)
