Worlds fastest cards announced

Good point! you got me there. Anyway link is for all users but I bet they ain't gonna be cheap!

does having a sd card make you "less" of a photographer? I don't think so:bang:

No, it doesn't. My D800 can take both though, which is great.

The price on these will of course be stupidly high for a while.

thankyou for that answer , its a refreshing change to hear as so many people wether they realise it or not seem to bash crop cameras or sd cards etc just because they are not the top draw which means you are not... a Pro or a semi pro or able to sell images.. (apparently).. I know in all probabillity they don't intentionally do so but it does come across that way which is rather frustrating( hence I hate text and talk, it has no emotion )... much like the apparent you cant take landscape photography on a crop camera. haha

I would be interested to see the price, bet its insane!!!

Mind you not sure I need a card this fast when only transferring 20-30mb files!

There's nowt wrong with crops or SD cards. My 1D4 takes both, but most of canon higher than the rebel range still use CF, (not sure about 6D and 70D)

I'm not sure if any camera has the UHS-II 4 needed, at this stage I bet the camera will be cheaper than the card too.

Thom Hogan suspects that the first body to use it maybe a Nikon D400 ... in which case the body will be just a wee bit dearer than the card ;)
