Would it be considered too smug to put a gallery on my website showing off my achievements, probably linked to from the "About" page? Thinking along the lines of stuff like competition results, photos used in the news, magazines etc etc? Nothing too In-Your-Face or over the top, just a screencap with the link to the page on it maybe?

Thinking something like this:

So tell me TP, would I be considered smug and pretentious if I did?:coat:

well there's showing what you can do and then there "blowing your own trumpet" - as long you aren't putting "as seen in (insert name of media here)" then I don't see it as too smug no

Cheers - I prefer to let my photographs do their own talking, but I think if someone was wondering "well, what exactly has he had published/commissioned/won/etc" that a small gallery with digital clippings would be helpful...

I wouldn't worry about that. Very few people would think that and even less would need to see some evidence.

As Jay says, tear-sheets are commonplace and serve to show that your work has been used, recognised and is up the standards required. If you've got the opportunity to be able to show that off it's well worth taking and is almost essential for the commercially-minded photographer.
