Granted ferrets may not be everyones cup of tea, but just after some constructive critique its been a year or so since I posted

Lol, they're very cute! The first thing I noticed was the sun light in #1. It's very eye catching and although the ferrets head is decently sharp, I keep looking to the left. I also find myself wanting a deeper DOF on one or two just so I can see a little more of the animal.

But yes, I would say the shots are good and you should be very happy with them. :)
 
Agree on the DOF, especially #1 with the tongue sticking out. I may have cropped it into a portrait too to lose the suncast

Focus and exposure look bang on, as said a smaller aperture would benefit in a couple.
#4 stands out as it looks more punchy (contrasty).
 
More DOF is needed to see the animal in its entirety in focus

Bang on focussing though on the faces so good job on that
