Lol i'm not suggesting anything about the focal length the 18-55 doesn't have.
As I understand, the random isn't a great lens in any category...it has distortion at the wider end, slow af and not the sharpest lens...
Perhaps have that as a walkabouts and the 18-55mm for good quality shots.

I used to have a Sigma 28-300mm and although it wasn't the best lens I've ever owned it was a great day out and holiday lens and in good light it's rather limited aperture range was ok.
OP. The obvious thing to do is to keep the 18-55mm for a while until you're used to the big zoom and you'll then be in a much better position to make a decision. I'd guess that the 18-55mm will be better for low light / slow shutter speed shooting as it has IS, it'll probably also be smaller and lighter and might be worth keeping for either of those reasons even if any IQ considerations are ignored or insignificant.
