Would you recommend a Canon 70-20 f4 non IS?

If so, then yes! It is a brilliant lens!

Yes I do mate, as it's a hobby and pastime there is no way I could justify the IS version....

If that is your max budget then yes, go for it. An excellent lens for the money. They can be picked up for between £350 - £400 2nd hand.

I've had the pleasure of using the lens(a friends) and although I don't use the range very often it's on my to buy list. Great lens for it's price IMO.

excellent lens, if its all you can afford and its range suits then you will not be dissapointed
