XPAN - "Cinematic" Street Photos

I stumbled upon the XPAN 64x25 ratio mode on my camera, and it inspired me to go out and use it ...

First night I took a few photos in Guildford then last night I decided to continue the adventure in London. There are a bunch of others on flickr.

All good but the first really stands out for me, very cinematic.

thanks, But it’s an unnecessary luxury. You can take great and greater shots with any camera so don’t worry about it

So would I be correct in thinking these are essentially just cropped conventional images, albeit shot using a super camera?

live view and evf show a cropped view
Raw is full sensor
Then I reapply crop in lightroom and add black borders in photoshop

having in camera crop display just helps with composition

Oh and the London thames shot was actually a stitched pano which I cropped to match. Forgot about that one
