Ive a feeling this is going to be a silly question but here goes

Ive an Xpro1 (not very long) and have just noticed that when I check the image size in cs5 it is showing as 72ppi at 172cm x 115cm, surely it should be more that 72ppi?

The shots are taken on fine jpeg setting, how do I change the ppi in camera to 240 or 300

thanks in advance

Pay no attention to it.

In CS5, just use image/image size.. uncheck "resample image" and set the document size to whatever you want to print it at. The actual resolution L x H is what actually matters.

Perfect thanks , so just change it only if I need to print?

No.. you can safely ignore DPI, just resize for printing to the pixel dimensions appropriate to the printer resolution and the final printed size. The DPI setting in the file properties has no useful purpose.

This is the ppi not dpi, does that make any difference

Nope.. still not relevant to anything.

If you want to print 6"x4" at 300dpi, you need 1800 x 1200 pixels - regardless of any PPI/DPI setting.
