well i went in for a look and came out with the 450d, canon macro lens and a 70-300mm lens lol i feel AWSOME!!

really different to use *** i might have to use the manual :-(

thank you, :) like i say just gettin used to it now but i feel like a big kid on xmass!! lol
 
Welcome to Europe's least exclusive camera owners group! As far as books go, I have a copy of Charlotte K Lowrie's book on the 450D. This is in the John Wiley digital field guide series. As a recent convert to DSLRs, I've found it very useful.
 
And i'd read the manual......its actually quite good at explaining the effect of various setting and suggesting when you might use then. It is designed to be read by those who are new to SLR's and is phrased accordingly. For further imformation you can look online (by asking here, or just googling)
