Yellow-billed Egret - (a new one on me)

So this is a tick - a new spot for me, (may have seen one in the past and if I did I never IDed it correctly)

a medium sized Egret with yellow "upper" legs and black "lower" legs, (half and half), and black feet.

The Great Egret has all black legs and black feet and the Little Egret has a black bill, black legs and yellow feet)

Wikipedia tells me that apparently because of it's size until 2023 it was regarded as a sub-species of the Intermediate Egret family - it is only found in Sub-Saharan Africa

(looking at the posted images the white is a little dark - their plumage is bright white like most other Egrets)

Ardea brachyrhyncha

Wasn't aware of this "split". I've seen "Intermediate Egret" in Thailand Namibia and The Gambia, so this is an "armchair tick" for me. Thanks for drawing my attention!
