I'm going to apologise in advance for posting another topic on the already vast pile on other photobook topics!

I've created a photobook from Blurb for my Grandma's 80th, and its come to the point to choose paper and the cover options, and I haven't a clue what is best!

Is it the old adage of you get what you pay for? Would you say its best to go for their proline paper? And if so, is the pearl or uncoated best?

And for the cover, is having a dust jacket, image wrap or soft cover better? And is it worth the extra pound for the hardcover, Dust Jacket, with ProLine Linen?

The book is around 80 pages long, so its not too big and the price differences between the lowest and greatest isnt vast, so I dont have a preference cost wise.

What can you all suggest?

Thanks!

If in doubt go for the best in your price range especially for something like an 80th birthday

ive just ordered their proline pearl for a sample book, have recently used their premium matt.

will have it hopefully sometime next week if you can wait for a review.

Thank you for the replies!

I did wonder if going for the best would be my best option!

33L - I shall be ordering my book in about a weeks time, so yes please, a review from you would be awesome! What would you suggest would be best for the cover options, is it worth it paying the extra £1 to have the proline linen hardcover?

from my understanding the proline hardcover is for books with jackets. I use image wrap covers so that option doesnt affect me. If you are going for a dustjacket type, £1 is not going to break the bank.

I will have the book on Thursday evening if that's still a help.

That would be of much help if you wouldn't mind doing a review please :) Im nearly finished making my book so shall be ordering it soon!
