Just got some YN622C's transceivers and been trying them out with a canon 430ex mark 1 flash and a 6D.

I think I am being a numpty and would appreciate some help. the wireless triggering works, ETTL pass through works, but I cant control my 430ex through the in camera menu. Tried having my flash on top of a YN622C on the camera, and bolted to a separate YN622C so i would be controlling it "wirelessly". Could it be because the 430ex is too old for that? (note I have the Mark 1 version)

Also I cant get the multistrobic mode working (it should give multiple flashes during the exposure but Im only getting one flash at the first curtain)

any help would be much appreciated :)

Have you set the 2 values on the flash correctly and have you set the shutter speed long enough for the flash to fire the amount you've specified? It will only strobe while the shutter is open and stops once the picture has been taken.

Thanks guys :)

I set the number of flashes to 3 times, and frequency to 3 Hz, and then changed the shutter speed to 1.3", that should have been long enough for 3 flashes?

Thank you, might be time to upgrade then :D

Correct. Just get a 622Tx transmitter unit - much better than using the in-camera menus anyway.
might have to do that, was hoping to avoid spending £30... :p
and using the TX would mean I cant use a flash on top of the camera whilst wirelessly triggering :(
