Young Kingfisher

This one fledged about 3 weeks ago.

Its not the best of shots due to poor light, but as I have posted quiet a few for the two adult birds recently I thought it would be good to show you all that one of the young ones is doing well.

Unusual light - dappled like in woodland. Love the perch too. So much more interesting than the ones I see them on.

This perch is under a tree but they seem to like it. Its always in the shade or dappled light.

Great shot, if I showed this to the g/f she would be adding this to her long list of animals she would like as pets.....only when cute and small though, apparently.

Had to crop this one a bit tighter because of blown highlights to the right distracting from the bird.
