i got this from another website today, forgive me if this is old news on here, but i thought i should post it up anyway...........

Please sign this petition.
Basically with this bill they have passed stops you from taking a picture in public places incase anyone wouldnt agree with being in it (only for proffesionals at the minuete but leaves room to bring in the public).

Also any pics you have on the web etc can be STOLEN and used for commercial purposes and the company which takes them has to pay the government NOT YOU.
Only if you spot it and take action will you get a tiny percentage after an argument with them and proof of ownership.

It is the government taking the absolute **** yet again and mugging off joe public to line their pockets and will almost destroy proffesional photographers.

This is most upsetting.
There are 2 seperate laws coming into effect.

The first being that if a publisher likes your photo and they can't find you via a basic search they pay tge government a fee. If you then fond out you can't clsim copyright infringment. You just get a small sum from the government kitty (albeit after a long winded process)

the second being that from now on when we get shouted at in public for taking pictures we no longer have the law on our side and the police have another law to stop us taking pics in the street.
