Hi, I would be glad to hear from anyone who has had experience with this lens. I am very tempted to buy it, but am not sure if what I gain in IQ is comparable to the AF and ease of use of modern lenses. I have read somewhere that it is quite hard to focus. I already have 28mm f2.8 and 50mm f1.7 by Contax Zeiss and find it difficult to focuss with the standard focus screen on canon 30D. I will buy a better eye adaptor and 40D eventually if I buy this zoom. I mainly shoot portraits and am learning to use lights now, if that helps.
