I am a Revert to photography after 20yrs away.
Traded in a pair of Leica binoculars against a Zeiss lens today with Dale Photographic.
Didn't realise glass and metal could get me so excited. Beautifully engineered, Canon EF mount so the lens talks to my 7D and a nice little beep and light to tell me I am moving the manual focus to the right spot. Gorgeous bokeh. Metal precisely slides on and clicks into place. Lovely.
Only thing my camera, lens, battery grip combo is heavy and I am struggling to hold it still, still giddy I think.
Alas running out of light so up early for a sunrise.
 
Welcome to the forum Andrew ... nice choice of lens, it may take a little while to master but worth the effort for the results it can produce.

Worth looking out for the 35/2 ZE to keep it company ;)

I came very close to hitting the 'buy' button on a 100/2 MP from them today :D

I know its so addictive. 35mm would be lovely but I fancy the 50mm macro f2 .
Looking round the house for something else to sell!!!
