A few of us from the original 52 on here in 2009 fancied revisiting that set of topics (plus a few new ones) to see how we'd progressed photographically (and in terms of creativity and ideas as well).

I've contacted a few of the original members of that 52:

Bruja, JGS001, JeanGenie, Toothie, SarahLee (plus Miss Cupcake and NicePhotoBut...) and they are willing to return to that 52 and give it a crack.

But this is open to everyone and not a rival to Sarah's main 52....anyone can join either or both....

The original set of themes were:

The 'Rules' are loose, I will pop the list into a bag and draw a fresh one out each week and publish it at the weekend, hopefully on Saturday. They will not be set in the same order as 2009. Post through the week, if you miss a week then no dramas just play catch up :D

Its not a competition - just a challenge for whoever takes part to think, shoot and develop in whatever areas you wish to (y).

As before create your own thread, post each week's shot and give as much or as little detail about the technical processes or thought processes you went through to achieve the shot. Comment on others as you wish but, as ever, make it constructive.

I hope we can see it through - it should be an interesting exercise to revisit some of those subjects and themes 3 years on :)

As I am away for a couple of days I will post the first one this evening :)

Ok well I must be crazy I am going to try and do both so I will be doing a 104 :) I need the challenge and can't decide which so am going for both with the slight proviso that if the weeks themes cross then you will get one photo and I might not post on the same day :)

Thanks John - I'm in again for this. I like the idea of re-visiting some of 2009's themes and measuring my progress against them.

I'd like to take a leaf out of Ruth's book and say that I'd do both sets of themes - 2009 re-visited looking backwards at my progress and the main 2012 themes taking my photography forwards - but unfortunately I think that's biting off more than I can chew :LOL:

In the spirit of the "loose rules" though I may do a bit of mix'n'match and some weeks may contain two photos (it may make up for the weeks when I completely fail to do anything at all)

Never tried anything like this but I need to get using the camera some more.

May take me a while to get up to speed with it though ... :D
 
Due to a mix-up mainly on Ruth's part I wont be taking part but instead doing the main 52. Good luck all.

Now this is interesting....

and I certainly need the kick.

I think I'm in.

I may regret saying that - and I'm already a week behind. Oh well, start as I mean to go on I suppose!!
 
Interesting... I see many possibilities (no wait, wrong week :D)

I know what (in general terms anyway) just gotta work out how to implement... That's always the hard bit...
