Making a return after sometime away due to some upheaval in my life. Hoping to get back to taking more pics again this year. I had a brief outing with my macro lens in July 2016. Here are a few from that session. They are not the best but I was a little rusty. :)
1. Green Bottle Fly with water...
It was a hazy night with a brilliant full moon. Mid-March 2014. Thought I would have a pop at taking this spooky image of the neighbours tree.
Image details: Lens EF 24-105mm 1:4 L IS USM - f8 - 20secs - ISO 400 - Tripod Mounted.
Hi Alby! All well here. Had a tough few years but now got time to re-acquaint myself with togging. I like the colours in this too and the oily effect on the wings. That wiggly thing is an animal hair. Probably a dog as it is a popular area for dog walkers. Hope all is well you end. I see you've...
Had a quick go with my Macro lens when I was Bluebell togging on Saturday. First time in about 3 years.
This fly wasn't very active so was able to catch him with my camera mounted on a Tripod.
Settings: Lens Sigma Macro 105 - f3.5 - 1/25th Sec - No flash.
Thank you for the comments. The ships Tannoy was blasting out 'we are sailing' as she glided past. The Ships crew will be marching through Portsmouth city centre in January in a special goodbye ceremony. I'll try to get some shots of that.
HMS Ark Royal sailed into a foggy Portsmouth Harbour this morning for the last time as a commissioned ship of the Royal Navy. Apologies for the quality as it was extremely foggy.
