I wish! I used to have one around 10 years ago, but I swaped it for a Canon lens. The canon lens is long gone! Nothin wrong with Russian TLRs, they do the job well, and the Holga is renowned for it's interesting effects.

You are, of course, correct. Most do not get used, but all are scrupulously fired at regular intervals to keep the shutters mobile. The Rollieflex 3F and baby grey Rolleiflex are used more often than the other TLR's, and the Leica III and IIf are my favourite amongst the rangefinders. The OMD...

I have to, my wife completely disowns my cameras (unless that is she wants me to take some photographs)!

This little beauty arrived bright and early in the post this morning. I have been looking for a good one for years, but never been lucky enough to find one at the right price. Good ones can fetch up to £700, because most are badly scratched due to the soft 'soda' glass used on the fron...

    Which is better?

There is nothing at all wrong with the 500d! IQ and colour are as good as anything else if you are prepared to work at it. There are a lot of REAL photographers using the 500d, which is near state of the art. You don't need a newer, or more expensive camera to take great pics, but better...

The anatomy of a £300 camera battery.....

It was indeed smouldering when I unplugged the charger. and when i opened the case, it was still too hot to touch. I've tried charging two other batteries, with two different chargers and two cameras. All appear to be working correctly. I think I've already decided to go with the 7 day shop...

The anatomy of a £300 camera battery.....

I smelled smoke when I was charging my oldest Canon NP-E3 battery this morning - just as well I was sitting next to it. This battery must be all of 10 years old, and was still good for 100 captures or so. I decided that as it was jiggered, I'd open the case. Look what I found. The list for a...

Do Yongnuo flashes still have quality issues?

Like most equipment, you'll only find complaints if the owner has an axe to grind. I honestly can't say what they are like, I've never tried one, but they offer good value for money, and it looks as though they have fans here. Personally, I'd look for a used 550EX. Very reliable, and fairly...

    Not to my taste...

I love them. As has been said, poster sized, and properly framed there'd be some fabulous art there.

    cold fingers!!

I don't actually feel the cold that badly, but when I'm washing the car in the winter, I wear a pair of surgeons gloves, and they stop my digits getting cold. Seems to me, that if you wear a pair of these under fingerless gloves, you'll get the best of both worlds - reasonably warm fingers with...
