Have to agree on that. I was in the op's position a couple of months back. But im glad chose the sigma. Did a lot of reading and all is pointing to sigma for the IQ if your lucky enough to get a good copy.

I often tranfer using the usb straight from the camera so the card never leaves the camera. Although i have brought the camera out for a shoot only to realise the battery was still stuck in the charger back at home

I'm looking to get a spare battery for my 400d. I've read that 3rd party batteries aren't much different than canon ones. Is there any specific brand I should look for? And also, would it be ok to charge it with the standard canon charger and not explode or anything like that?

thanks!! look at the first picture, the pistons are in a V shape(the cut out sectioned part) and the exhaust manifold has 5 tubes on one side, so makes it a V10. does that sound right?
