    Waxing Gibbous Moon 81%

Excellent shot. was this on a tripod or hand held? The iso is high, is there a reason? would lowering the iso and speed have any advantages? Lots of questions as this is fascinating. Regards. Gary

Night shots with off camera flash

Thanks for your comments, I sgree the monochrome was slightly off, the colour image was sharp on the eyes, possible that my processing has given the impression of missed focus. Thanks for the led tip, i had not noticed the elongated shadow. Very little light, cold conditions make it...

Night shots with off camera flash

Hi Kodiak, thanks for your comments. I agree that the wall adds not a lot, it was used as a leaning prop for Molly. In retrospect there are better areas which will be revisited at that venue. The area we shot in was a dry moat of a castle now used as a walkthrough. The image contained some...

Night shots with off camera flash

This shots were taken at Norwich Castle Gardens on a night photography workshop. They were lit from below with a speedlight in a kicker. Any comments or suggestions for improvements. Gary 1. d700, 35mm, f.2 1/80th 1600 iso 2. d700, 35mm, f.2 1/80th 1600 iso 2.

    Nikon D750 with Yongnuo 622n TX & YN 622receivers

    Nikon D750 with Yongnuo 622n TX & YN 622receivers

Question for all you D750 owners. How do you stop the Preflash occuring when using the TX controller and D750. Set up is SB900 in TTL on the YN 622, TX controller on the camera, any setting you care to choose, all synced in with channels etc. Press the shutter and you get 3 pre flashes...

Graham, took the opportunity to look at your flickr page, i think this image is superb... D41_3895-Edit-Edit-2. If you can recreate this feel in your work then you have something a bit special. The featured photos of Ella are very competant, I cant add anything as I tend to take snapshots...
