    Backpack recommendations

Yep, it's a shame they seem to be discontinued as it looked ideal. Think I might just go down the normal hiking bag and an insert route, cheaper and more flexible.

    Backpack recommendations

Hello, I am after some recommendations for a back pack for carrying gear for day walks plus a camera. My camera is a Fuji xs10, so relatively small, plus a couple of small lenses and the bag needs to have room for butties and water as well. I have tried a lowepro slingpack and I like the...

It's not all doom and gloom. Vintage trains seem to run a lot of tours starting from Birmingham if that's near you? Saturday the 24th June looks promising there are at least 2 in the area, maybe another.

They are expecting it to be very busy and are asking people to avoid the stations unless you have tickets to travel, apart from Oakworth, where flying scotsman won't be...

Heaton Lodge Junction - Britain's biggest model railway

I did wonder what was going on inside the car to steam the windows up :naughty: but the layout is modelled on a cold and frosty day, so it's frost and not steam that's obscuring the windows.

Heaton Lodge Junction - Britain's biggest model railway

Nothing that really shows the overall length, it really is so big that full length of the layout shots were nearly impossible. For some sense of scale the locos are about a foot long, if not a bit bigger.
