    Little Egret fishing

Nice capture that one Mark, looks like it's about to pounce. There seems to be a bit of a magenta colour cast though as the egret appears to be a bit pinkish, that said it's on my laptop and the colour changes with the angle of my screen so I might be talking a load of carp.

Critique Rannoch Moor: Lochan na h-Achlaise in summer morning light.

Godamnit you had me looking all over for a watermark :p My brains clearly not with it today :( I'm really drawn to 1 and 3 which I think are lovely shots, number 2 is a good shot but there's something about it that just doesn't quite work as well as 1 and 3 (I can't quite put my finger on...

Laying ghosts to rest on in the Rhinogydd

That's a lovely shot Nick, well done on making the 'leap of faith.' Can I ask if you camped up there?

An evening on the North Wales coast

Number three for me, the best of a strong set, I would agree however that the sky on the right hand side is a little distracting and needs the highlights reducing a touch, thats only to suit my tastes though :D

    Curlew.

I like the second shot, the background is out of focus leaving all attention on the bird helping it to stand out. In the first shot there are elements behind the bird that distract attention away from the subject.

    skylark at lunch

I'm not a keen fan of shots where the bird is looking at the camera but this one works quite well, especially like the food caught, clean background and rocky perch (y)

    Kingfisher looking alert

Lovely shot Joe, nice to see the bird on an unusual perch as mentioned. However I also think the image is a tad bright, not much but just noticeable, might be worth giving it a try and seeing what you think.

    Sanderling

They're all really quite good, but the last shot and the action involved just makes it a bit out of the ordinary which I like (y)

    Latest Stonechat

They are all good with the last being for me the better due to the clean background, however I think in each of the images the bird needs a bit more room, not much just an inch on all sides.

    Dunlin

Looking like Dunlin to me, very nice shot though, especially with the low PoV.

Critique Loch Awe Yesterday morning attempt at sunrise

I rather like all 3 though feel the last one suits my tastes the most particularly the mirror like reflections. Pylons wise I'd leave them be, like you said they are very much a part of the landscape now.

    Barn Owl Hunting.

I like the fact your showcasing the typical habitat of the species, the light is fantastic also.

    Baby Swallows

While I think an adjustment to the highlights would improve the shots it should be said that these are excellent captures to begin with (speaking particularly about the last image), all shots are sharp with a lovely clean background.

    Duck a l'green?

I like both of them, the colours in the water work really well to keep attention on the bird. I think though that you might get away with a touch of sharpening on the second shot.

    Nothing special.

A really great set, I'm particularly taken with the Coal Tit, lovely perch, pose, background and exposure. I also rather like the Buzzard as the background gives you an idea of the habitat. I can also associate with you Rich regards not being able to go out there at the minute, you enjoy...
