1 is gorgeous! The last few days have been superb early on for images like these, unfortunately I've only seen them as I've cycled by (without a camera :shrug:)

Thanks for the suggestion. Those shots look really good. The X10 is slightly larger than I'd want for such grab and go cases, but worth keeping in mind.

I have a canon 40d but there are times when I just want to grab a little compact camera to grab snaps when out and about with the family. We have an old Casio that son it's last legs so looking for suggestions on good quality replacements in the price range up to £250
So I think what your saying is pull out the good stuff and whatever is left you can dump, rather than deleting as you go through. I really need to get into the habit of being selective about what gets left on my hdd as there are loads of poor images that have no place being retained.
I'd also suggest talking to the mother and explaining the issue it is causing for you and yours. Sometimes I think parents just need to be told straight to really take the rose tinted lenses away.
I'm interested in the answer to this too as just back from this summers hols and a photo book might be a nice way of putting together a record of the trip.
